Nordnet is in a phase of technology shift, we are moving to the cloud at a rapid pace, and security is a vital part of our success. We at Nordnet Bank therefore need to strengthen our team with another innovative and pragmatic IT Security Officer with focus on Detection.  

As Nordnet’s sole security team we handle everything from secure development to information security and incident response. About the role

As our IT Security Officer you'll focus on Detection. You’ll be a member of the Security team at Nordnet. Your aim is to support, educate and test our business to ensure that we are secure enough to handle cyber security threats thrown at us.

Your role will be to act as a key driver in developing, implementing, and operating the capabilities we need to prevent, detect and manage relevant cyber security threats and incidents. As part of the role, you will:

• Use and improve our detection platforms.
• Lead and coordinate threat-hunting engagements both within and outside of the team.
• Analyse security events and payloads to determine if a vulnerability has been exploited and recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct forensic, malicious code, and packet-level analyses to develop technical reports that help communicate and show the timeline and root cause of an incident.
• Work with different stakeholders and business areas within the bank to identify which behaviours may indicate infringement or violation of internal rules and how to detect them.
• Work in conjunction with our architects, system owners, and developers to ensure that we have appropriate log sources needed to detect abnormal behaviours or patterns.

As part of the Security team you'll participate in a rotating on-call schedule. During on-call, your responsibility is to be the initial point of contact in case of a critical security incident.

This is a central function for all Nordic countries that the bank operates in, and you will be reporting to the Head of Security at Nordnet.

This is you 

To be successful in this role you likely have several years of experience within IT security, or a background as a SOC analyst. You are passionate about security, structured and analytical in the way you work, along with being a team player. You have a holistic approach to security, where you place security within the context of our business and customers.

Good communication skill is crucial for the role. You need to be able to communicate on a technical level with engineering staff, whilst also having the ability to explain IT security concepts to management. You need a pragmatic and smart approach to solving security challenges, with high integrity and confidence in your competence and knowledge. 

The role requires you to be able to write and speak English fluently, Swedish is not mandatory but definitely a plus.
