In brief

As a new customer at Nordnet, we need to ensure a great first impression of our products. As the Product Owner in our second domain, Discover domain, you will be tactically responsible for Nordnet's offering that inspires, guides and assists customers in the financial jungle. You will be collaborating closely with the product department which includes the Director of Product, Domain Product Owners, and Product Owners within Nordnet's different domains.

The Discover domain

Nordnet consists of three domains that own customer journeys. Every domain has cross-functional teams that are dividing the responsibility of these customer journeys. In the Discover domain, the customer's account is already setup and now ready to get inspiration on how they can invest. We can provide the customers with guides, suggestions, and tons of different tools. The domain can furthermore help answer questions like “What’s going on in the market?”, and “What are others investing in?”.

The Discover domain also owns the largest social investing community in the Nordics, Shareville. This community provides a great opportunity to share and learn from others how they do their investments.

This is part of the role

As the Product Owner, you are responsible for aligning the business goals of Nordnet - and balancing them between the needs and expectations of our stakeholders. You are at the core of an agile team of designers, engineers, engineering managers, business experts, and analysts. You love to solve our customers' problems through delightful digital products and experiences. You will prioritise the development backlog, gather feedback, define requirements, and keep the development team updated. In effect, you will make sure we stay competitive in the financial market.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive product innovation to take and maintain leading positions within a competitive landscape
• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to prioritise the development backlog
• Guide and lead development teams in solving customer problems and enhancing the overall experience
• Scope large initiatives into smaller deliverables and set up agile go-to-market strategies

This is you

You have a deep interest in savings, investments, and finance - and are familiar with financial content. You most likely describe yourself as driven, creative, and with the skills to drive an idea to a finalised product. You are comfortable in a multitude of different environments and can adapt depending on your stakeholder's different needs. As a leader, you are capable of leading teams with diverse backgrounds and caring for the teams’ accomplishments and failures.

You have an excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders, explain difficult decisions, and are comfortable in a high-paced environment where the ability to take well-judged decisions is paramount.

We believe you have

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working within banking or finance
• Previous role with demonstrated customer/end-user focus
• A deep understanding of the competitive finance landscape
• High level of personal initiative, integrity, and leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

It’s a plus if you also have

• A university degree in business, finance, or economics
• Previous experience as Product Owner, Product Manager or equivalent role
• Product, technical or system management experience
• Previous experience with agile development methodologies, or digital design/user experience
• Proven ability of excellent presentation skills
