In brief

We are building a new team to support this journey, and the first responsibilities for this team will be to implement and maintain a new marketing automation tool, improve workflow efficiency by integrating different marketing technologies and platforms to enable data sharing to our analytics platform in GCP and owning Marketing’s data products in our Data Mesh. This team will also be responsible for our tracking solution, and other focus areas going forward can be marketing personalisation.
This is part of the role
As a Marketing Tech Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Marketing Technology team, which is dedicated to harnessing the power of data and automation to drive impactful marketing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading the integration of marketing automation systems and implementing robust web tracking solutions to enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
On a day to day basis, the team is responsible for:
- Build data pipelines to integrate our cloud data warehouse with marketing automation
- Create data models to help the organisation make more efficient and engaging marketing campaigns for better impact in specific audiences
- Work closely with Marketing, and Tech teams to understand business objectives and develop technology solutions that support those objectives.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in marketing technology, and make recommendations for new tools or enhancements to existing systems.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on marketing technology platforms and processes.
The team is part of the Data & Insights department at Nordnet, and consists of Data Engineers and BI Engineers. We collaborate closely with Marketing, Analysts, Data Scientists and development teams.

You are passionate about data, and the opportunities it provides. You want to contribute with your experience and knowledge. Collaboration and discussing ideas and concepts with your cross functional colleagues are things you enjoy and believe are important in order to build great products.
As a Marketing Tech Data engineer, you:
- Have a minimum 3 years of experience working as a Data Engineer, related to MarTech and optionally tracking
- Have experience from working in a cloud environment, preferably GCP
- Have good knowledge of at least two of SQL, Python and Javascript
- Are a problem solver – if you need an answer you will find it
- Enjoy pair/mob programming
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technological fields.
Other than the above, the following would be a plus if you have:
- Knowledge of Data Mesh
- Experience with tech like dbt, BigQuery and Looker
- Are comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), DevOps and CI/CD
- Bank and Finance experience
