Nordnet is looking for students for the role as Legal Coordinator
Nordnet is a leading pan-Nordic digital platform for savings and investments. Ever since we started 28 years ago, our purpose has been to democratize savings and investments. Through innovation, simplicity, and transparency, we challenge traditional ways in the financial industry, and give private savers access to the same information, tools and services as professionals. Our ambition is to inspire, encourage and enable people to take their savings to the next level, no matter who they are.
We are now looking to strengthen our team with two law students. You will be part of a young team with a great atmosphere. We offer exciting work in modern premises at our office in central Copenhagen.
The role
This is a perfect opportunity for you who have an existing interest, or are curious about, what it is like to work in the financial industry. You will get a good insight into how a bank and the financial market work, especially regarding savings and investments. You will also gain experience in conducting your own investigations and making your own legal conclusions.
The tasks are mainly related to investigating and answering formal customer complaints/claims for compensation. The work requires that you independently analyse the situation and relevant contractual terms before presenting a proposed solution. This includes daily contact and collaboration with Nordnet's other departments. A part of your tasks will also be to translate answers to complaints written in Swedish to Danish.
Your profile
As a person, we believe that you are prestigeless and like to cooperate with others. You enjoy a slightly faster pace and handling several different cases at the same time. In the role, you will drive your working day forward yourself and we therefore think it is important that you are responsible and solution oriented. You are analytical, independent and thorough in your work, which you carry out with high integrity.
The most important thing is who you are as a person, but we see these as necessary to succeed in the role:
- You have completed at least three semesters law studies.
- You are a good communicator in speech and writing, both in Danish and English.
- You can work about 25% of a full-time position, spread over two days per week. The working hours are flexible and easy to adapt to your studies.
- An interest in or experience in the financial industry is a plus.
What we offer
We offer you the opportunity to work in a great team within a friendly Nordic environment with a strong focus on innovation, product development and technology. We are proud of the friendly and humble environment and commit to our goals as a team. We are 800 employees in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen.
