We're looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join Nordnet's Engineering department and our dedicated Engineering Productivity team. In this team you'll be improving the developer experience across the Engineering organization. Our team acts as an internal catalyst, focused on making our developers more efficient, informed, and successful.

Your daily work will involve

• Building and supporting our "Know Your Maintenance" framework: Empowering development teams with crucial technical insights for proactive maintenance.
• Developing tools and visualizations for complex migrations: Making large-scale changes smoother and more transparent for everyone involved.
• Creating and maintaining shared tooling, such as custom linters: Simplifying common development tasks and promoting best practices across teams.
• Identifying and addressing pain points in the developer workflow: Proactively seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce friction.
• Collaborating and communicating closely with other development teams: Understanding their needs and building solutions that truly make a difference.
• Maintaining and evolving our internal developer portal based on Backstage: Ensuring it's a valuable and user-friendly hub for developers.

You are a software engineer who thrives on solving challenges and empowering others. You're driven to learn new technologies and share your knowledge and passion. Your work style is organized, methodical, and adaptable, contributing positively to the team's dynamics and our ability to deliver impactful solutions.

You bring previous experience in software engineering in a cloud-based environment. You have a natural curiosity for technology and a knack for selecting the right tools for the job. You also enjoy communicating your ideas clearly and collaborating effectively with others. An MSc degree in Computing/Engineering or equivalent is preferred, and familiarity with agile methodologies is essential. While experience and interest in savings and investments is a plus, it's not a requirement – your passion for developer productivity is what truly matters.

You have experience in:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems.
• Modern software engineering principles and practices.
• Working with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Implementing solutions for technical insights and data analysis.
  

Concrete qualifications:

• MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent with more than 3 years experience working in an agile environment
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, Java, Golang
• Experience in building infrastructure using Terraform and similar technologies
• Experience with at least one of the big cloud providers
• Experience in GCP, BigQuery and VertexAI is meriting but not required.
