In brief

The Risk Control function is an independent control function with the focus to ensure that all major risks are properly identified, controlled, analyzed, reported and managed.

The Risk Control function covers the whole Nordnet group and therefore controls and supports both Banking and Insurance operations.

We are now looking for a senior risk controller focusing on the Nordnet Pension company to join the team of 9 high performing people.

Nordnet is growing fast and the pension business is a prioritised area. You will be responsible for 2nd line risk management for the Pension company in Sweden and will be interacting with the board of directors, leadership team and talented experts.

Main tasks and responsibilities

As a senior risk controller you will drive, individually and together with the team, development of risk processes, incident management, key risk indicators, etc. This means having an interest in finding efficient solutions for the management of risk in a regulatory environment. You will also:

• Lead and drive the ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) process

• Review and follow up on solvency reporting - QRTs, the SFCR and RSR

• Solvency II ratio analysis

• Responsible for updating and maintaining relevant Governance documents

• Conduct and lead risk workshops with management and experts

• Report and present quarterly risk reports to board of directors

Competence requirements

To be successful in this role, you have a university degree and a minimum of 5 years of risk management, control, or audit experience within the insurance industry. We also look for:

• Ability to facilitate outstanding relationships across the organization and serve as an influential and respected partner to business leaders.

• Integrity. Being reliable and resilient (challenging situations and conversations don’t scare you).

• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken in English and/or Swedish.

• Understanding of the requirements on operational risk management in a regulated financial company.

• Strong team player skills but with the drive to deliver on individual goals.
