The role

As a Data Platform Engineer at Nordnet, you are shaping the foundation for how our entire organization leverages data. You’ll sit at the intersection of platform engineering, modern developer experience, and building a truly self-serve data ecosystem.

While we build great cloud-native solutions and scalable infrastructure, how we work is just as important as what we build. We have embraced agentic coding in our daily workflows and are excited about the impact it has. In our daily work, we focus on

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design and improve our Self-Serve Data Platform on GCP using modern Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Platform Engineering Practices: Build the tools, standards, and automation that empower other teams across Nordnet to easily create, secure, and share high-quality data products.

• Agentic Engineering: Leverage agentic coding tools as a natural part of our daily work to solve coding tasks, automate repetitive platform work, and accelerate our learning.

Who you are

We think you’ll fit right in if you value solving problems through discussion and thrive in an environment of shared learning and collaboration. We think that you

• Have 3+ years of professional experience within data engineering.

• Understand Python and SQL well, and you enjoy writing and quality-checking code to build a great platform.

• Have a foundational understanding of Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.

• Are excited about modern development and are curious about agentic coding as a tool to solve problems, automate tasks, and learn faster.

• Take ownership in the quality of your work and for the team’s collective success.

Skills you have or will grow with us

• Architecting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Advanced DevOps practices and building automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Modern distributed data architecture, working closely with tools and services like dbt and BigQuery.
